What stood out the most to you?
Alexandra Alévêque: Perhaps the famous rodeo night that takes place every weekend at the Cowtown Coliseum, one of the world’s largest indoor arenas. I was far from imagining that it was a real sport. It’s very dangerous, but the show is amazing, because there’s a mix of rivalry, American-style patriotism, and it all starts with a mob and the national anthem. This is shocking and very moving.
Which other destinations will you be taking immediately?
On August 24th, I’ll take you to discover Hydra, a car-free Greek island, then on August 31st, head to northeastern India, to visit the wettest city in the country: Mawsynram. But this will be the last episode of this collection, which I voluntarily decided to stop.
Do you have other projects?
Nothing specific at this time. I had other desires, but I would never stray too far from this profession in which I have been for nearly twenty-five years. And then, in parallel with journalism, I developed an online thrift store, on Instagram, called Beautiful Yes. Ever since I was old enough to have a wallet I loved hunting. One day, perhaps, will I combine these two activities that fascinate me?
