Hardik Pandya, India’s T20I skipper, received the gold tick on Twitter while his contemporaries have a blue tick on the microblogging site. However, the gold tick indicates that the account is an official business account through Twitter Blue for Business. Notably, the microblogging site has replaced the “official” label with a gold tick on some business accounts.

On December 12, Twitter announced it would replace the official label with a gold tick on some business accounts and add a gray tick on government and multilateral accounts. Additionally, Twitter introduced square affiliation badges for the names of companies on the platform.
Blue tick
The blue tick indicates two things: The account has been verified according to Twitter’s previous verification criteria, such as: B. Active, Notable, and Authentic, or those who have an active subscription to Twitter Blue. Subscription is available in US, Canada, New Zealand, Australia and UK.
Golden tick
The gold tick indicates the account is an official business account through Twitter Blue for Business. Reportedly, Marvel Entertainment, Xbox, ANI Multimedia News, and Sony all have a gold tick.
Gray hook
The gray tick indicates that the account represents a governmental institution, official or multilateral organization. Legitimate government institutions include national and local crisis response, public safety, law enforcement and regulatory agencies, embassies and other key national-level agencies. The government bodies like Department of Electronics and IT and PMO India wear gray ticks.
