Google helps solve street crime problems and launches Street View Panorama service in 10 cities around the world

BALIKPAPAN CITY – The use of Google Maps by authorities has been successful in discovering or arresting criminals in various countries.

Moreover, this product from Alphabet Inc was also able to guide anyone to set up a meeting via real-time maps on the internet.

Based on various considerations as well as business expansion, on Wednesday, July 27, 2022, Google Maps launched Panorama Street View service in 10 cities in India.

The launch, reported by Euro News’ BalikpapanCity.com, in conjunction with Tech Mahindra and Genesys, 11 years after the first attempt ran into regulatory issues.

The feature, which offers a 360-degree view of streets around the world, uses photos taken by cruise vehicles that are the subject of privacy complaints and regulatory scrutiny in many countries.

The launch in India comes after Google was denied permission at least twice in the last decade by the government due to security concerns.

Company executives said last Wednesday that they were able to meet regulatory requirements thanks to India’s new geospatial policies last year.
