Badminton News: Malaysia’s two-time world junior champion Goh Jin Wei has revealed he didn’t have a fair chance to compete for his country in the international tournament hosted by the Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM).

In a casual chat with former world No. ) as the NSC decided to cut 144 athletes from its training program due to a lack of funding.

Goh went on to say that he had in fact successfully applied for the Syed Modi India International 2022 which will take place in Lucknow, India from January 18, 2022 to January 23, 2022.

However, he was recalled to BAM and the two parties reached a mutual agreement to withdraw his registration from Syed Modi India International.

“Right now they are trying to stop me from registering for an international tournament. In fact, I have successfully registered for the Indian Open which is taking place this month. called to get me to BAM for a meeting,” Jin Wei said.

“During the meeting with them, we came to a mutual agreement that they wanted me to remove my name from the Indian Open first.”

On January 3, 2022, BAM General Secretary Kenny Goh told Malaysian media that the Penang Badminton Association approached BAM on behalf of Goh Jin Wei as the 21-year-old tried to return to BAM.

BAM quickly issued a clarification on January 4, 2022, as its General Secretary Kenny Goh was playing politics again saying that BAM was not trying to intimidate Malaysian badminton players, in fact BAM had invested about 1, 4 million RM into Goh Jin Wei, and BAM’s door will always be open for discussion and they were ready to help Goh Jin Wei in the best way possible.
