Flutterwave, one of Africa’s leading fintech companies, has expanded its money transfer product, Send App, to India through a partnership with IndusInd Bank, India’s 6th largest bank by assets. This collaboration allows Flutterwave to send money from India, the world’s 5th largest economy, to the African continent.
The expansion into India is an important milestone for Flutterwave as Flutterwave becomes the first African company to facilitate remittances from India to Africa on a large scale. This partnership is expected to provide money transfer services between the two regions smoothly and quickly.
Flutterwave CEO Olugbenga Agboola said his company will look for other partners to further strengthen its presence in India. This expansion is part of Flutterwave’s broader growth strategy as it prepares for an initial public offering (IPO) and continues to expand its international reach.
In recent months, Flutterwave has entered into various international partnerships and secured licenses, demonstrating its commitment to becoming a key player in the global fintech landscape.
