Prasar Bharati recently announced that it will broadcast all Indian teams T20 World Cup Matches with the Paris and Wimbledon Olympics on Doordarshan. The announcement was made by Prasar Bharati CEO Gaurav Dwivedi during a media interaction on June 3.

Apart from the T20 World Cup, Doordarshan will watch broadcasts of a number of major international sporting events.

This includes live/delayed broadcasts and highlights of the Paris 2024 Olympics (July 26 to August 11), Paris Paralympics (August 28 to September 8), India Vs International Cricket Series Zimbabwe (July 6 to July 14) and India against Zimbabwe. Sri Lanka (July 27 to August 7), women's and men's finals of Roland-Garros 2024 (June 8 and 9), and Wimbledon 2024 (July 13 and 14).

Doordarshan releases special song for T20 World Cup

The telecast of the Indian team's T20 World Cup match was announced by Prasar Bharati CEO Gaurav Dwivedi. During the interaction, a special song 'Jazbaa' for the T20 World Cup was released. It is sung by famous singer Sukhwinder Singh.

The special song was launched by Secretary, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Sanjay Jaju, along with President Prasar Bharti Navneet Kumar Sehgal, Doordarshan Managing Director Kanchan Prasad and Gaurav Dwivedi. The minister also launched a promotion for the T20 gala narrated in the voice of popular narrator Neelesh Misra.
