Crunchfish AB has partnered with financial platform providers to create turnkey offline payment solutions for banks and payment services. The financial platform provider already has close to 100 integrations with Indian banks. Crunchfish Digital Cash deployment should accelerate with this turnkey solution as it can be used by any bank or payment service. Crunchfish and a financial platform provider in India have entered into a partnership whereby Crunchfish will provide a Digital Cash SDK to be integrated into the provider’s financial platform to create a turnkey solution for offline payments.
This financial platform provider has nearly 100 integrations with banks in India for different online payment use cases with the same reserve, payment and settlement methodology promoted by Crunchfish. This integration adds offline payments as a use case. This will speed up the integration of Digital Cash into banks or payment services because the financial platform is already integrated with many central bank systems and the integration can be reused by banks and payment services.
Integration efforts will start soon and will be an option for banks and payment services wishing to make offline payments with Crunchfish Digital Cash in India. The financial platform provider is also planning to support the newly announced Digital Cash version 1.3 text-decoration: underline, enabling offline payments via telecommunications networks, when available. This integration is separate from the previously announced Digital Cash integration for offline payments with HDFC Bank in India’s RBI regulatory sandbox.
