India recorded victories over Pakistan and the Netherlands before collapsing with a five-goal loss to South Africa, who lead Group 2 with five points.
With the top two teams in the group qualifying, India and Bangladesh have four points each, with Dravid’s side having the advantage in terms of net runs.
“We have a lot of respect for them. I think they are a very good team,” Dravid told reporters on Tuesday. “This format and this World Cup have really shown us that no team is to be taken lightly.
“Ireland showed it against England… The fact that the format is already so short. The margin of victory and defeat, even if 12-15 goes, is actually two shots. It’s two shots one way or the other and it’s a game.
“Besides, this condition has leveled the playing field widely, because the margins are bigger. It doesn’t happen that easily. People get kicked out.”
Tim Dravid, who was without the injured Jasprit Bumrah, hoped his pitcher could stem his last-minute run.
“This is an area we want to work on, to improve ourselves,” Dravid said. “Obviously Bumrah is one of our players who is slated to play two of those extra time.”
India must beat Bangladesh and Zimbabwe to ensure qualification.
Bangladesh could also qualify with two wins, but Shakib said they would be in for a big surprise against India.
“We will play our best and try to do that,” he added.
In Wednesday’s other Super 12 clash, Zimbabwe takes on the Netherlands.
