In India, major figures of the Congress party have been marching since September 7, from the south to the north of the country. The Independence Party has long dominated national political life, but has seen its influence dwindle before the ruling BJP. With this nearly 4,000 kilometer crossing, Congress hopes to reconnect with Indians.

This week October 2 marks Mahatma Gandhi’s birthday celebration. The Congress party stopped at Badanavalu, a village of symbols, where Gandhi launched in 1927 a textile factory for the lowest castes.

A wave of disinformation campaigns against Congress finally convinced some of the public. We have to fight. Speak loudly and clearly about our history, our values. The Congress championed the essence of India: unity in diversity. The BJP, on the other hand, is trying to impose uniformity in the country – uniformity of language, ideology, religion or even food!
At 3 pm, the march towards the city of Mysore, led by Rahul Gandhi, was widely seen by the villagers.
Sangeeta Shah is not a party member, but wants to participate.
I came from Bombay, because I support the march’s slogan which is to unite India. It’s time for those who live comfortably like me to care about people who have no electricity and sleep hungry.
At the age of 46, Ashok Kumar came to welcome his party, but appeared resigned to the upcoming elections.
The BJP controls everything: the Supreme Court, the Electoral Commission, the Hindu extremist group that filters the poison of divisions between communities.
The march will reach Kashmir within 120 days. Four months, which looks like the last chance for a Congress party.
