While continuing its journey through the American skies, “another Chinese spy balloon” was detected, this time over Latin America, according to the Pentagon. Neither its location nor the direction it took was determined.
The Chinese authorities may have expressed their “regret” for this “accidental” interruption, according to them, Washington found the insult “unacceptable” and decided on extreme Friday to cancel Antony Blinken’s trip, which was scheduled for Sunday and Monday.
Antony Blinken’s visit to China will be the first by the US secretary of state since October 2018.
