The Central Bank of India has announced the appointment of Shri Mahendra Dohare, Chief General Manager, Punjab National Bank, as Executive Director of the Board of Directors of the Bank, for a period of three years, from the date of assuming office. or until further notice, whichever comes first. Shri Mahendra Dohare holds an MBA in Marketing and Finance. He is a certified fellow of the Indian Institute of Bankers.
He also holds a diploma in computer applications and various certifications from IIBF. He is also NET qualified. Before assuming his current position, he was the Managing Director of Punjab National Bank.
His last position at Punjab National Bank was as Head of Business Acquisition & Relationship Management. He began his career as a probationary officer at Corporation Bank, before joining United Bank of India, which was merged with Punjab National Bank. He has a wealth of professional experience for more than 24 years in the banking sector.
As Managing Director of PNB, he led and played a key role in building an integrated retail division (business acquisition and relationship management) to drive business. He is also a board member of PNB CARDS & SERVICES LIMITED and Tripura Gramin Bank.
