After its award-winning predecessor: vegan presenting new Feelgood videos / Spot is calling for active action on vegan nutrition this January.
vegan want to help carry on after a flagging holiday: That’s what the new venue from the nonprofit and campaign inspiring people around the world to eat vegan says in January. This fun video with an 80s look wants to show in a humorous way how Veganuary overcomes a minor lull or culinary stupor with energy and hope. With the video, Veganuary invites you to get active this January on various platforms around the world.
Produced in Los Angeles by Asher Brown/Pollution Studios and director Paul B. Cummings, the spot follows a family sluggish after the holiday season: sluggish moods, lack of motivation in the kitchen, scrolling through the phone. Signing up for the free Veganuary Challenge gets you a personal “Veganuary Coach” – played by vegan actress and influencer Gabrielle Reyes (@onegreatvegan). He helps the whole family to actively start the new year with freshly prepared food.
The call to action reaches people around the world
The venue will go live globally on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and TikTok, as well as on restaurant and gym screens in New York City or on Disney+ in India. Its predecessors have reached a global audience and received international awards: the animated film, in which the mythological character Bigfoot calls on people to reduce their ecological footprint, has received multiple nominations (including the Berlin Animation Festival and the Portland Film Festival) and is being a winner of the Los Angeles Animation Festival 2022 (Commercial and PSA categories, Silver) and received a Platinum Award at the 2022 Viddy Awards.
“Concerns about the climate crisis are real, but they shouldn’t lead to apathy,” said Christopher Hollmann, who runs Veganuari in Germany. “Veganuary invites people to find hope and take action this January: starting the new year vegan is a great start – and Veganuary is a great coach to guide you every step of the way.”
Participants feel more energetic, more passionate and more inspired
As part of the official Veganuary survey in 2022, participants reported more energy (49 percent), better mood (48 percent) and improved overall health (50 percent) after a month-long challenge. When surveyed again six months later, 67 percent said they felt more inspired in the kitchen by participating in Veganuary, 59 percent made more experiments and 58 percent preferred sustainable eating.
98 percent of participants recommend vegan further, among them Nina Tümmers: “What excites me about Veganuari is how you are introduced to the daily life of vegans. I really felt like I was being taken care of. It quickly became clear to me that I wanted to stay.” Today, two years after the challenge, he runs a vegan cafe in North Rhine-Westphalia.
