REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, YOGYAKARTA – Indonesia’s best badminton player, Ukun Rukaendi appeared powerful in the quarter-finals of Indonesia Para Badminton International 2022. Ukun smoothly qualified for the semi-finals after beating the Indian badminton player, Dillaswar Rao Gadela in straight sets with a score of 21-10, 21-3.
“Thank God I am healthy, safe, strong and I won,” Ukun said when meeting after the match at Among Raga Gymnasium, Yogyakarta on Thursday (25/8/2022).
Ukun admitted that it was his first time facing Dillaswar. He was grateful to finally be able to win today’s game.
Ukun is set to face fellow countryman Maman Nurjaman in the semi-finals to be held tomorrow. Ukun thinks Mom will be his toughest opponent in this competition.

“Mom is fine now. He is of the same generation as me. Maybe tomorrow will be the toughest opponent,” he said.
He is determined to defend his title after winning the title in 2016. Garut’s man will try to become a champion at the international event.
“Yeah, I want it like that, but mom is good too, just try,” he said.
At the same time, the Indonesian Maman Nurjaman managed to silence the New Zealander Wojtek Czyz with the score of 21-12, 21-9. With these results, Mom is sure to meet Ukun in the semi-finals tomorrow.

Ukun is known for playing in two SL3 men’s singles and two SL3-SL4 men’s singles. Ukun is currently ranked 10th in the badminton world.
Indonesia Para Badminton will be held at GOR Among Raga, Yogyakarta from August 23-28, 2022. A total of 10 countries participated in the event.
