Moscow (dts news agency) – Russia says it has almost succeeded in completely shifting its oil exports. 45 to 50 percent of total exports will go to China and about 40 percent of total exports to India, Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak, responsible for energy, told Russian TV channel “Rossiya-24”.
This means that the two most populous countries in the world receive around 90 percent of Russia's oil exports. According to Nowak, India previously almost never bought oil from Russia, but this has changed in the last two years. Previously, Europe was one of the main buyers. “There are a lot of people willing to buy Russian oil and petroleum products,” Nowak said.
According to the politician, revenues from trade in raw materials from Russia this year are almost the same as in 2021. In response to Russia's war of aggression against Ukraine, EU countries imposed sanctions on Moscow last year. One such measure was the oil embargo.
