Meanwhile, in another match, Mutiara Ayu Puspitasari managed to secure a ticket to the final round of the Thailand International Challenge 2024 by eliminating the representative of host Thailand, Thamonwan Nithiittikrai in two fairly easy straight games with a score of 21-15 and 21-10 in 35 minutes.
The win saw Mutiara Ayu Puspitasari take revenge on Thamonwan Nithiittikrai with a 1-1 head-to-head record where the last meeting between the two players was in the Round of 16 of the Sri Lanka International Challenge 2024 with rubber matches 8-21, 21-9 and 18-21 in 1 hour and 1 minute for Thailand to prevail.
Next up, Mutiara Ayu Puspitasari will be looking to win her first title this season against a Japanese player who is also a former junior world champion, Riko Gunji, who managed to qualify for the Thailand International Challenge 2024 final after winning the all-Japanese Derby against Kaoru Sugiyama 21-17, 21-18.
