India made its mark at the 2023 Asian Games, excelling in certain sports that brought the country a total of 31 medals. As of Friday morning, there were five gold medals in shooting and one each in cricket and equestrian.
Asian Games 2023: List of Indian gold medalists
Shoot: Indian trio Divyansh Singh Panwar, Rudrankksh Patil and Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar clinched gold with a record-breaking total score of 1893.7 points.
Shoot: Sarabjot Singh, Arjun Singh Cheema and Shiva Narwal continued India’s shooting success with gold in the men’s 10m air pistol team event.
Shoot: Sift Kaur Samra set a world record and won gold.
Shoot: Manu Bhaker, Esha Singh and Rhythm Sangwan won gold in the women’s 25m pistol team event.
Shoot: Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar, Swapnil Kusale and Akhil Sheoran secured India’s fifth gold in shooting at the 2023 Asian Games with a world record of 1769.
Shoot: Palak Gulia won gold in women’s 10m air pistol event.
cricket: India secured their first Asian Games gold in cricket by defeating Sri Lanka in the final.
Equestrian sports: After 41 years of waiting, Anush Agarwalla, Hriday Vipul Chheda, Sudipti Hajela and Divyakriti Singh won India’s equestrian gold.
Asian Games 2023: More medals for India
Esha Singh won silver for India in the women’s 10m air pistol event.
Saketh Myneni and Ramkumar Ramanathan lost the men’s doubles final 4-6, 4-6 and settled for a silver medal. India won silver in the women’s 10m air pistol team event. Anush Agarwalla won bronze in individual dressage.

Roshibina Devi Naorem won a silver medal in the women’s 60kg wushu final. Esha Singh bagged a silver medal in the women’s 25m air pistol individual event.
In sailing, Neha Thakur won the silver medal in the girls’ dinghy. The women’s 10m air rifle team took home a silver medal, while individual athletes contributed to the three bronze medals.
With two silver and three bronze medals, India’s rowing team demonstrated consistency and teamwork. Silver medals were added in the men’s lightweight double sculls and in the eight men’s categories.
There were bronze medals in the men’s double sculls, the men’s four sculls and the men’s double sculls.
The Indian women’s team won bronze in squash.
