Air India announced on Tuesday that it has chosen tech giant Meta’s Workplace business communications platform to ensure there is a simple and effective way for all levels of the organization to interact with one another.
Workplace will help Air India employees receive regular, real-time updates on the airline’s operations and future plans, share information with colleagues and have access to a forum to share their views, provide feedback and shape the vision and the airline’s guidelines to contribute airline stated in a statement.
The decision to choose Workplace fits perfectly with the airline’s transition from a state-owned company to a world-class private airline, it said.
Air India said it chose Workplace to “connect and connect with its 11,000+ employees”.
“Meta’s Workplace will provide Air India employees with a platform that encourages more open communication and information sharing within and between all levels of the organization, breaking down organizational silos, reducing old hierarchies and boosting employee engagement,” it said.
Tata Group took control of Air India on January 27 after successfully winning the bid for the airline on October 8 last year.
