During Star Wars Celebration in London, Disney+ unveiled a new trailer for the “Ahsoka” series, slated for release in August, with Rosario Dawson playing the famous Jedi.
Interstellar slap. Disney+ took advantage of Star Wars Celebration in London to unveil a new trailer for the “Ahsoka” series, which will see Rosario Dawson reprising the famous Jedi role she played for the first time in season 2 of “The Mandalorian”. Fans can also check out comedian Natasha Liu Bordizzo’s new look as Sabine Wren, a character who also appears, like Ahsoka, in the “Star Wars Rebels” animated series.
“Everything has changed. I’m starting to hear whispers about Thrawn (Grand Admiral Thrawn) returning as heir to the Empire,” Ahsoka Tano can be heard saying in the trailer. We also see comedian Ray Stevenson (Thor: The Dark Worlds) play one of the series’ main antagonists, Baylan Skoll, a man who wields the Force who appears to be acting under Thrawn’s orders.
Also notable is Hayden Christensen’s tribute to Anakin Skywalker (either as a Force phantom, or via flashback, or both), who is Ahsoka’s Jedi master. The action of the series takes place about five years after “Star Wars: Return of the Jedi”. Its launch is scheduled for August.
