Ahead of the Ki Won Bin fight, here’s a flashback to Jeka Saragih’s fight against the Indian fighter

TRIBUNNEWS.COM, ABU DHABI – Indonesian MMA Champion Jeka Saragih will fight fighters from South Korea Ki Wonbin in the Road to UFC semifinals on October 23.

The fight between the two will take place in Yas Island, Abu DhabiUnited Arab Emirates.

For information, the Road to UFC event was organized for Asian fighters and fought for contracts from the MMA organization led by Dana White.

Jeka Saragih is determined to become the first MMA fighter from Indonesia to be signed by the UFC.

Jeka Saragih is the first Indonesian MMA athlete to reach the Road to UFC semi-finals.

Jeka picked up a win in Singapore in June 2022. He knocked out Indian athlete Pawaan Maan.

Flashback of the fight against Pawaan Maan

Admittedly, the lightweight match between the two fighters was quite thrilling.

In the first round, Jeka Saragih play aggressively by delivering heavy kicks to Pawaan’s lower body and various hand attacks.

Although he managed to escape, the Indian fighter was helpless as Jeka locked Pawaan’s body with his knees.

Jeka launched a direct ground attack in round two, which Pawaan countered with an elbow to the back of Jeka’s head.

This caused referee Steve Perceval to stop the match and Pawaan received a point deduction for his actions.

Despite the nickname “The Deadly Kick”, Jeka Saragih managed to knock down Pawaan Maan thanks to an upturned fist sent by the right hand of this fighter from Simalungun, North Sumatra.
