After leading the MEA meeting in Semarang, the Minister of Commerce flew to India to attend the G20TIM

After leading the ASEAN Economic Ministers (AEM) Series in Semarang, Central Java, Commerce Minister Zulkifli Hasan (Zulhas) traveled to Mumbai, India to attend at the G20 Trade and Investment Ministers Meeting (G20TIM), Tuesday (22/8/2023). Zulhas is expected to be in India until Friday (25/8).

“I happily went to India to attend a trade and investment ministerial meeting for G20 countries. We will discuss multilateral trade cooperation as well as global growth and prosperity,” Zulhas explained in a post. written statement, Tuesday (22/8/2023).

In addition to the meeting between the Trade and Investment Ministers of the G20 countries, in the same series there will also be a meeting between the economic actors of the G20 countries, known as the Business 20 (B20).

“We will meet the CEOs of Indian companies in a plenary session. Apart from trade and business issues, we will also discuss the impact of technological developments in this area,” Zulhas said.

For information, the Ministry of Commerce has shown positive performance under the leadership of the General President of PAN. Finally, Indonesia recorded the largest trade surplus in the history of the Republic of Indonesia, its value exceeding US$50 billion.

The G20TIM series will be held at the Rambagh Palace Hotel, Jaipur, India on August 24-25. During his visit this time, Trade Minister Zulkifli Hasan was accompanied by Director General of International Trade Negotiations Djatmiko Bris Witjaksono and special staff Bara K Hasibuan.
