REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA— Up to 11 Indonesian tennis players will participate in the event AMMAN International Tennis Championship 2022.

Even though the international ratings of the country’s players haven’t met the requirements to appear as hosts, they have a share joker.

Of the 11 tennis players, four immediately appeared in the main round of the round of 16, namely Nathan Anthony Barki, Muhammad Rifqi Fitriadi, Achad Imam Ma’ruf and Rifqy Sukma Ramadhan.

While the seven players who made it through to the qualifying round with a 48 draw were Renaldi Aqila Arifadli, Faried Widyarohmadhiansyah, Aldhito Ramadhan Dwi Kurniawan, Aditya Harry Sasongko, Moh Gunawan Trismuwantara, Lucky Chandra Kurniawan and Ignatius Anthony Susanto.

Participants came from 18 countries, namely Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Vietnam, Philippines, Hong Kong, China, Japan, Korea, India, Australia, New Zealand, -Bas, Russia, France and South Africa.

Rildo Ananda Anwar added, “I hope our players who appear later can enjoy this event well and for their experience. In this event, their mentality is tested, as the opponents they face are foreign players.

AMMAN International Tennis Championships offers a total prize pool of US$15,000 or around Rs.225 million for each series. This event is a tournament entry level professionals who will be very useful for the host tennis players to earn international ranking points.
