Officially paved in India, here are the specs of the all-new Honda Accord

TRIBUNNEWS.COM, NEW DELHI – Honda has officially unveiled its 11th generation Accord sedan with new Civic-inspired exterior and interior designs, more technology and upgraded hybrid powertrain options.

New exterior design Honda Accord

Like the 11th generation Honda Civic, the new Accord is characterized by smooth and clean surfaces. The slender headlights flank a wide hexagonal grille and have a smoked effect.

The sedan has a front bumper with large central air intakes, which are contrasted only by silver trim at each end.

At the rear, Honda has pinned a large lamp with an LED strip that stretches almost end to end.

New interior and features Honda Accord

In terms of interior, New Honda Accord looks like the new Civic and CR-V. The sedan gets a 10.2-inch driver’s instrument panel and a 12.3-inch touchscreen.

The new Accord also supports over-the-air (OTA) software updates.

Other notable features include a body stabilizer seat that provides better support, wireless phone charging, a 12-speaker Bose sound system, a six-inch head-up display and connected car technology.

Additionally, there are safety features in the form of 10 airbags and Honda’s ADAS feature set which includes adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring, lane maintenance assistance and more.

New powertrain options Honda Accord

Honda itself has produced the new Accord sedan with a 192hp 260Nm 1.5-liter turbo petrol engine, which has been updated on the low-end variant and is paired with a CVT gearbox.

Meanwhile, the top-end variant is powered by a new two-motor hybrid system that uses a 2.0-liter Atkinson-cycle four-cylinder gasoline engine.

The hybrid powertrain, in which the engine and electric motor are mounted side by side, produces a combined output of 204 hp and 335 Nm.

The Accord was launched in India since 2000 and is the second model to be produced after the Honda City.
