Kostrad site allegedly attacked by Indian hackers, Indonesian military says data is safe

The site of the Indonesian army and the former strategic reserve command TNI AD (Kostrad) was the victim of a hacker attack or a hacker allegedly from India.

Based on CNNIndonesia.com monitoring as of Monday (8/15) 4:51 PM WIB, to place It displays the logo and the name of the Indonesian army, accompanied by the mention “WEBSITE IN MAINTENANCE”.

Additionally, there are words “MAIN DOMAIN” back and forth at the top.

Not only that, the Kostrad site is also believed to have fallen victim to the attack. When searching for “Kostrad”, Google shows the main view “INDIAN CYBRR MAFIA WAS HERE”.

Once confirmed, the head of the Indonesian army’s information service, Brigadier General Tatang Subarna, admitted that the Kostrad site was manipulated.

“The site was hacked by a group on behalf of the Indian cybermafia, Jakarta, on Monday (15/8/2022),” he said in a written message to CNNIndonesia.com.

According to him, this case was followed by the cyber team. For now, the Kostrad site is closed.

“So far the data is safe, but the front screen has changed and is not accessible,” he said.
