Hindus have started to pursue other mosques in India which they claim were built by destroying Hindu temples. They reported Jama Masjid Shamshi to Badaun and brought him to justice.
Hindus claim that the Jama Masjid Shamshi in Badaun was built by destroying a Shiva temple. They demanded that Hindus be allowed to worship at the mosque.
Jama Masjid Shamshi is the third oldest and the seventh largest mosque in India, after the Jama Masjid in Delhi. Even before the Delhi Jama Masjid expansion, it was the largest and most famous mosque in India.
The central dome of the Jama Masjid Shamshi is considered the largest dome of any mosque in the country. The Jama Masjid Shamshi is also a monument of national significance and a national heritage site.
reported from Indian DNA on Monday (19/9/2022), an investigation was carried out by the team Zee Newsgot a Badaun Regional Official Gazette published in 1986. This Official Journal records all the historical evidence which forms the basis for writing that Maulvi Tola Mohalla Badaun Mosque was built on the site of an ancient temple.
The sheet also indicates that the remains of one or more temples that were destroyed appear to have been used to build mosques. In another document released by the Badaun District Information and Public Relations Department in 2002, it was stated that Subedar Altamash Badaun destroyed the Ishan Shiva Temple and built the Shamsi Jama Masjid.
