When the Pixel team was caught tweeting with an iPhone

TEMPO.CO, JakartaMany times there have been between companies insinuating competitors, but there have been blunders. For example, Company X makes fun of Apple on Twitter, but at the bottom of the tweet it says “Twitter for” iPhone

Well, that sort of thing happened again. The Google team pixel does not seem to have studied such events in the past. There’s a tweet mocking Apple dated October 19, 2022, but at the bottom it appears to be using “Twitter for iPhone”. The tweet was quickly deleted, but someone was quick to take a screenshot as evidence.

The story begins with the Google Pixel account on Twitter responding to a “#TakeNote” teaser from Apple boss Tim Cook. Apple’s “TakeNote” slogan drew criticism as it was also used by NBA team Utah Jazz. In fact, Apple releases animated hashflags for this very reason.

Google decided to play with the hashtag and sent the tweet. Content asking to join “Team Pixel” will help bring NBA fans “closer to your favorite team” than the iPhone.

“Hmm alright, see you later. NBA fans… #TeamPixel is here to bring you closer to your favorite team – let us know your team and maybe we can make your NBA Tip-Off even better,” reads- on in the tweet – allegedly from an iPhone.

After noticing the error, the Google Pixel team quickly deleted the tweet and reposted it. The second tweet tagged the tweet sent via “Twitter for Web”.
