MotoGP, the highest level of two-wheeled racing, will take place in the country in 2023, which is an important development for motor racing fans in India. Sources familiar with the matter, consulted by News18Agency officials informed us that an official announcement will be made in about a week.
The announcement, confirmed by sources, will be made by Carmelo Ezpeleta, Managing Director of Dorna, and will also include details of the full race weekend in India. Dorna Motorsports owns the commercial rights to all MotoGP, worldwide. This full race weekend will include MotoGP, Moto2 and Moto3 races taking place in the country. Apart from that, fans can also enjoy the MotoE electric motorcycle race which will take place in India at the end of 2022. However, the MotoE race will depend on the preparation of the circuit in time.
For the same reason, there will be announcements at the racetrack who will be appointed to host the upcoming event. The highest likely of the designated circuits is the Buddh International Circuit in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh – the same circuit that also hosted India’s first F1 race in 2012.
