One of the Vietnamese media underestimates the power Curacao who swallowed two defeats Indonesian national team in a FIFA Matchday game.

The Indonesian national team picked up two wins against Curacao in matches which were held at Gelora Bandung Lautan Api Stadium on September 24 and at Pakansari Stadium three days later.

The victory of the red and white team over Curaçao was reported by Vietnamese media. The Thao could not be separated from the presence of players who did not have a club in the La Familia Azul squad.

The victory over Curacao was described as impressive by The Thao, but they highlighted the composition of the players who were sent for the FIFA Matchday game.

“There are six Curaçao players who don’t have a club. And what’s even more surprising is that these six players are the main pillars and the big stars,” wrote The Thao.

“Some names that can be mentioned are captain Cuco Martina, defender Michael Maria, midfielder Shermaine Martina, two strikers Gevaro Nepomuceno, Gino Van Kessel and number one star Leandro Bacuna.”

Under these conditions, The Thao said players who didn’t own the club weren’t of the best quality.

“Obviously, for too long without a home or a place to train, the stars of Curaçao have been competing in Indonesia. That could also be why Indonesia got two wins against the representatives of the CONCACAF zone,” said The Thao.

The win over Curacao earned Indonesia points and is expected to be ranked 152nd.

Meanwhile, Vietnam beat Singapore and India in the September 2022 FIFA Matchday match.
