KERALA, KOMPAS.com – The Department of Motor Vehicles (MVD) of the state of Kerala in India, has decided to ban the use of helmet mounted cameras or action cams the car drivers.
The regulations state that drivers caught using an action camera on a helmet will be fined approximately Rs 1,000 or the equivalent of Rs 185,228 and suspended from their driver’s license for 3 month.
A ban on the use of action cameras in helmets has been proposed since last year. Security agencies claim that using action cameras can be distracting and increase the risk of accidents.

However, the driver is still allowed to install the action camera in other places, such as on the handlebar or the jacket. Because some motorists still need video recordings as proof in the event of an accident.
In Indonesia, the freestyle actions posted on social networks are also quite numerous and disturbing. It is not uncommon for failed actions to be recorded and the driver not wearing the correct equipment.

Budiyanto, a transport and legal issues observer, said, failed or succeeded, freestyle carelessly on the highway is prohibited from endangering yourself and other road users.
“It’s sometimes what teenagers don’t understand and don’t understand, just following current trends without considering the risks that will occur,” Budiyanto said in an official statement recently.
Budiyanto said freestyle was prohibited as it was against the Traffic and Road Transport Law No. 22 of 2009 concerning LLAJ, regarding correct traffic procedures.
