TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – A total of 11 thousand scouts from all over Indonesia gathered at the camping ground and Graha Wisata Pramuka Cibubur, East Jakarta. They will participate in the National Jamboree or the Eleventh Theme Jamnas Enthusiastic, dedicated and accomplishing which takes place from August 14 to August 21, 2022. Today’s opening ceremony coincides with the anniversary scout day 61st.
President of the National Neighborhood Movement Scout Budi Waseso said Jamnas’ goal was to shape attitudes and behaviors. “To enhance the independence, skills, unity and unity of the Scout Husbandry,” Budi Waseso said in a Kwartir National Scout Movement press release on Saturday, August 13, 2022. “Commitment to Appreciation and the practice of the Scout Honor Code, namely Satya and Darma Pramuka,”
National Scout Day Jamboree Activities
President Joko Widodo cannot participate in the opening of the national Jamnas which are held every five years. “But he promised to see the activity and come to the Jamnas venue,” Kak Budi Waseso said after meeting President Joko Widodo at Merdeka Palace on Friday, August 12, 2022.
Budi Waseso’s meeting with Joko Widodo reported on the preparation of Jamnas attended by 11,506 scouts to raise district and city branch representatives in Indonesia. There is also the Front Scout Movement Group based at the Indonesian Embassy (KBRI) and representatives of Scouting organizations from the Asia-Pacific region.
The week-long Jamnas camp was geared towards spiritual, emotional, social, intellectual and physical development. This camp is still recreational, but prioritizes elements of education, innovation, and productivity. These elements are the basic principles and methods of Scouting in the form of games, discussions, simulations and competitions.
There are many Jamnas activities at the campsite and Graha Wisata Pramuka Cibubur as well as outside the main camp. These activities include Scouting Skills, Role of Scouts in Sustainable Development Villages, Technology Villages, Adventure Activities, Awareness Forums, Fellowship Games and Educational Tours in Jakarta.
Prior to Jamnas activities, all participants were confirmed to have received the second stage of vaccination and brought negative PCR or antigen swab test results as per the travel policy of their respective regions to Cibubur Campground.
