Badminton News: India beat Singapore 3-0 to advance to the mixed team badminton championship final at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham on Monday (August 1).

The defending Commonwealth Games champions beat the dark horses of Singapore in a one-sided semi-final at Birmingham Arena. India will now face Malaysia in the 2022 Commonwealth Games final on Tuesday. The silver medalist of the last edition beat England 3-0 in the other semi-final.

Lakshya Sen became the main architect of India’s sensational 3-0 win over Singapore. World number 10 Lakshya stunned world champion Loh Kean Yew in two straight games to snatch a 3-0 win.

World Championship bronze medalist Lakshya stunned world number 9 Loh Kean Yew 21-18 and 21-15 in men’s singles.
