Ayurveda is based on the belief that a person’s health and well-being depend on a true balance between mind, spirit and body. The main objective of Ayurveda is to promote health, not to fight disease. However, Ayurvedic medicine generally targets specific specific health conditions.
Then there is the Siddha healing system, which is commonly found in the Tamil Nadi and Kerala regions. Then there is the Sowa-Rigpa healing system which is mainly found in Leh-Ladakh and Himalayan regions such as Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Darjeeling, Lahaul and Spiti.
