Olympic medallists, cricket stars and wrestlers come together to honour the brother-sister bond.

Raksha Bandhan, a festival honouring the bonds of brotherhood, is celebrated with great fervour across India on August 19. Several Indian sports personalities joined the celebrations, sharing emotional moments with their siblings on social media.

Indian T20 cricket team captain Suryakumar Yadav celebrates his victory with his sister Dinal Yadav. Dinal shared pictures of their joy on Instagram.

Former India all-rounder Yuvraj Singh also celebrated the occasion by sharing a touching tribute on his Instagram. He shared a touching story about celebrating with his sister, highlighting the importance of family bonding.

Rising cricket star Rinku Singh parties with his brother Jeetu Singh and sister Jeetu shared a video on Instagram showcasing their close sibling bond.

Indian Olympic shooting athlete Manu Bhaker, who recently won two medals at the Paris Olympics, also celebrated his victory with his brother. Bhaker posted an Instagram story with his brother Akhil, showing his love for his brother.

Another Indian cricketer, Yuzvendra Chahal celebrated the day with his sister, Geet Chahal. Geet expressed her affection for her brother in her Instagram post and wished him all the best on the occasion.

Indian wrestler Bajrang Punia, a bronze medallist at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, shared pictures from his Raksha Bandhan celebrations on social media, reflecting the love he shares with his family. Punia's heartfelt tribute to the festival has won the sympathy of his followers.

Wrestler Vinesh Phogat, who recently returned from the Paris Olympics, celebrated Raksha Bandhan with his brother Harvinder Phogat in their hometown Balali, Haryana. In a viral video posted by IANS, Vinesh jokes about receiving a wad of ₹500 notes from his brother, saying, “He gave me his lifetime income.”
