The Indian contingent is under the spotlight after failing to win a gold medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics despite having the world's largest population of 1.45 billion.

Currently, India is the most populous country (1.45 billion), ahead of China with 1.41 billion. However, the achievements of the two countries at the 2024 Olympics are very different.

Paris 2024 Olympic gold medalist Rizki Juniansyah has accepted an offer to become a civil servant (PNS) at the Ministry of Youth and Sports (Kemenpora).

“Thank God, the Ministry of Youth and Sports offered me to become a civil servant. And I accepted the offer,” Rizki said when met at the RSS regional government, Serang city, Wednesday (14/8).

Rizki received an offer to become a civil servant after winning a gold medal at the 2024 Olympics. The 21-year-old presented Indonesia with a gold medal in the men's 73 kilogram weightlifting event.
