?Taufik/Claireine opens up Indonesia's advantages over India

Yogyakarta: Taufik Aderya/Claireine Yustin Mulia pair opened the lead for the Indonesian mixed team against India in the final Group C qualifying match for the 2024 BNI Badminton Asia Junior Championships.

Competing at GOR Amongrogo, Yogyakarta, Sunday (6/30/2024) afternoon, Taufik/Clairerine won two consecutive matches against Indian mixed doubles, Vansh Dev/Sharavani Walekar with a score of 21-14, 21-16 .

In the first match, Taufik/Claireine played very well, being able to control the flow of the match. After winning in the first game, Taufik/Claireine's play seemed to decline and they were left behind by the Indian pair.
Fortunately, Taufik/Claireine were able to return to their best form to finally win two consecutive matches in 40 minutes.

“Overall, our match today was very good. “Perhaps you should be more patient in carrying out attacks without rushing to attack,” Clairine said.

Taufik/Claireine's consistency of play is still lacking, so they both hope to play more calmly.

Especially when they are behind, Taufik/Clairene must be more patient in attack to avoid making their own mistakes and maintain their chances of winning the match.

“We believe that in the second game the score was close because our concentration decreased, which allowed the opponent to take the lead several times. “In the future, we will have to play more aggressively and not playing at a slow pace at the start of the match,” added Taufik.

Taufik/Claireine also admitted that they were happy to be able to participate in the BNI Badminton Asia Junior Championships 2024 tournament. With the full support of their colleagues and Kota Student fans, they were both excited to play.

“It’s really nice to have the support of friends when you play. “It motivates us even more to give our best,” Clairine said.

With this victory, the Indonesian mixed team temporarily leads with a score of 1-0 over India. After the appearance of Taufik/Claireine, the men's singles Bismo Raya Oktaro will face Dhruv Negi.

In the men's doubles sector, Anselmus Breagit Fredy Prasetya/Pulung Ramadhan will also appear again to face Indian pair Bhargav Ram Arigela/Viswa Tej Gobburu. In the women's singles sector, Mutiara Ayu Puspitasari has once again been lined up to face Navya Kanderi.
