Over a hundred members of the Youth Congress and NSUI entered the office of the examination body NTA and locked the place from inside after protests over irregularities in NEET-UG escalated.

Ambuja Cements, a company owned by Gautam Adani, on Thursday said its board of directors has approved its merger with Adani Cementation Limited, a subsidiary of Adani Enterprises, through which Adani Enterprises will acquire 8.7 million shares of Ambuja Cements.

Nikhil Gupta was arrested by Czech officials in June last year on charges of contract killing and extradited to the US this month. Earlier, the US had asked him for hiring an assassin who later turned out to be an undercover US federal agent. The US claims it has material showing that the employee asked Gupta to plan the murder.

Veteran BJP politician Lal Krishna Advani has been admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in the capital. The hospital said his condition was stable and he was being monitored closely. Doctors at the geriatric department of the AIIMS in Delhi are keeping an eye on him. Three months ago, Advani was awarded the Bharat Ratna, the country's highest civilian award.

The Maharashtra Cabinet on Wednesday approved a proposal to develop a sprawling 120-acre public park at the Mahalaxmi Race Course in Mumbai. A Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde decided that no construction work would be carried out on the site of the proposed central park.
