This new portable air conditioner from Sony can help you beat the heat this summer

Sony announced a new wearable device and no, it's not TWS earbuds or a smartwatch. The device we are talking about is a portable air conditioner called Réon Pocket 5. The device provides a sophisticated alternative for portable fans and it can be placed in the back of the shirt or t-shirt.
The Reon Pocket 5 is a laptop Climate control device that aims to provide comfort when traveling. The device is based on a thermal module and a few sensors — temperature, humidity and movement — to deliver the best possible cooling comfort.
Sony Reon Pocket 5: Features
Reon Pocket 5 supports both cooling and heating. Thus, it can be used both in winter and in summer. It comes with five cooling levels and four warming levels. Additionally, the device supports the Reon Pocket Tag which acts as a remote sensor that detects the ambient temperature and makes cooling adjustments accordingly for optimal performance.
The device is also compatible with the new Reon Pocket application, available on iOS and Android respectively via the App Store and Play Store. The device connects via Bluetooth and supports control of main functions such as level adjustment and much more.
Additionally, the device supports an auto start/stop feature that allows it to automatically start and stop the device without the need for manual input. The device automatically starts cooling/warming when you simply attach it to the base of your neck, and the device automatically stops when it is removed and placed on a table, etc.
Reon Pocket 5 is the fifth iteration of the portable air conditioner. The original model was launched in 2019. However, the latest model will be available for purchase through Sony's official website in some regions.
