What is the BlueImage imaging technology that could be launched with Vivo X100 Ultra

Live presented his latest imaging technology brand called Blue image. This Chinese smartphone maker is expected to integrate new imaging technology into the camera systems of its upcoming phones. The company is likely to expand its flagship X100 smartphone series with a new model, the Vivo X100 Ultra soon in China. The rumored smartphone could launch with proprietary imaging technology.

What is BlueImage imaging technology

Vice President of the Vivo brand, Jia Jingdongtook to Chinese social media platform Weibo to reveal that BlueImage would be able to solve common photography problems. This includes capturing images in backlit and low-light situations, especially with the telephoto lens, as well as group photos and other related issues.

Other than that, the company hasn't revealed much information about the latest imaging technology. Rumors suggest that Vivo is expected to integrate this technology into its V series of imaging chips. The company launched this chip in 2021. The Vivo X100 Series smartphones include the latest version of the chip – the Vivo V3 imaging chip.

Jingdong also noted that Vivo is expanding its collaboration with Zeiss to co-develop more lenses for its smartphones. Additionally, the company is even considering implementing high-frequency PWM dimming for on-screen image navigation.

Vivo X100 Ultra: what to expect

The Vivo X100 Ultra smartphone is rumored to launch in China in May and may remain exclusive to the country. The company is yet to reveal any details about its upcoming flagship phone. However, a leaker has revealed some details about the Vivo X100 Ultra.
In another post on Weibo (spotted by Notebookcheck), Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station revealed some specifications about the upcoming Vivo X100 Ultra smartphone. According to the message, Vivo should add an unreleased 200MP sensor from Samsung.
The 1/1.4-inch ISOCELL HP9 sensor (also known as S5KHP9) is expected to be the largest sensor area yet in a smartphone. With an aperture of F/2.59, this sensor can also deliver light intensity similar to that of the Vivo X100 Pro.
An equivalent focal length of 85mm is also likely to result in an optical magnification of around 3.7x. The zoom capability of this sensor may be slightly lower than that of the Vivo X100 Pro.
Rumors also suggest that the Vivo and 100W wired charging.
