'Dunki' starring Shah Rukh Khan will be released on an OTT platform. Recently, the actor himself took to social media on Thursday to reveal a video announcing the availability of his upcoming film, “Dunki”, on the OTT platform.

After a triumphant theatrical release, the film directed by Rajkumar Hirani will now be available on Netflix. This news was officially announced by the streaming giant on its social media platforms at midnight Wednesday.

“Pack your things! After Dunki travels the world, @iamsrk will return home. Dunki, now streaming on Netflix!”, wrote the streaming giant accompanying the message.

“Dunki” is currently available to stream on Netflix. This is Shah Rukh Khan's third release of 2023. After two back-to-back mega-blockbusters, the anticipation for the film is huge.

While it may not have achieved box office success like 'Pathaan' and 'Jawan', Dunki turned out to be a huge success, earning Rs 227 crore nett in India.

Directed by Rajkumar Hirani, Dunki stars Boman Irani, Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal, Vikram Kochhar and Anil Grover in important roles. The story revolves around four friends who embark on a journey to pursue their dream of living abroad.

For those who don't know, 'Dunki' is a Punjabi expression that means moving from one place to another. When people are transported to another country, often through various intermediate stops, this is called the “donkey route.” The method used to reach countries such as America, Canada and several European countries is considered illegal immigration.

According to media reports, “Dunki” had the distinction of being the only Bollywood film to be screened at the largest hall of the Grand Rex on Christmas Eve, attracting a huge number of Shah Rukh Khan admirers outside the cinema hall. Grand Rex is the largest cinema in Europe.
