JAKARTA – Minister of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Indonesia (Menpora RI), Dito Ariotedjo, Friday evening, January 26, 2024, representing the Coordinating Minister of Economic Affairs, attended the 75th Republic Day celebration of India and Indonesia-India Bilateral Relations at the Common Room of Ritz Carlton Hotel, Mega Kuningan, Jakarta.

In his speech, Minister of Youth and Sports Dito expressed his respect for having the opportunity to attend and deliver a speech at this time.

“It is a great honor for me to attend this special occasion of Indian Republic Day as the chief guest and deliver my speech to commemorate this joyous occasion,” he said.

“On behalf of the Government and people of the Republic of Indonesia, allow me to convey my sincere congratulations and best wishes to the Government and people of the Republic of India on the occasion of the 75th Republic Day of India. May the spirit of Republic Day bring health. and prosperity to the people of India in the years to come, next year,” continued Minister of Youth and Sports Dito.

According to him, 2024 marks a very important year for both countries. This year's celebration of India's 75th Republic Day also coincides with the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Indonesia and India.

“Over the years, India and Indonesia have enjoyed close, cordial and friendly relations. As we all know, Indonesia-India relations and ties began long before the existence of modern Indonesia and India. This ancient relationship has created cultural ties and “strong history” provides an excellent basis for our current strong bilateral partnership. I am sure that cooperation between the two countries will be even more strong in the future,” stressed Dito.

“The last two years have been the most crucial for the partnership between Indonesia and India on the international stage.
