Cheteshwar Pujara is ruled out of the ongoing India vs South Africa Test series. The experienced batsman has long been a strong performer for India in Tests. However, his omission from the South Africa tour left many wondering if this was the end of the veteran's journey to India.
Cheteshwar Pujara has so far played 103 Tests and scored 7195 runs at an average of 43.60. He last played a Test in June against Australia. The left-handed batsman is currently set to play the 2024 Ranji Trophy season for Saurashtra. The 36-year-old has also made several appearances for Sussex County over the past two years.

As mentioned above, Pujara is expected to play for Saurashtra against Jharkhand in the Ranji Trophy 2024. The match will be played in Rajkot from January 5.
