England captain Heather Knight resorted to extreme excuses after being hit by an Indian woman during a one-off Test.
England Women suffered a crushing defeat of 347 in the IND W vs ENG W one-off Test in Mumbai on Saturday. The hosts dominated the visitors and Heather Knight’s players failed to control the match. After the match, England captain Knight apologized, saying “super extreme” weather conditions had contributed to the defeat.
England women suffered their worst defeat in women’s Test cricket, losing by 347 runs. Their lack of form with the bat was also evident as they conceded 136 and 131 in the two innings.

It was a very extreme event and I would be surprised if we played something like that again unless we play a test match here in the near future.
India scored 428 in the first innings with four batsmen reaching fifty, while the only England player to pass fifty was Nat Sciver (59) in the first innings.
In response to India’s declaration of 186-6 in the second innings, England needed 478 runs to win. Deepti Sharma’s spin was too much for the visitors to bear. Deepti finished the match taking 9 wickets as England had no answer for the off-spinner.
