The Indonesian contingent has a chance to displace India to eighth place in the medal table. Asian Games 2023 after great achievements.
Indonesia improved its position in the 2023 Asian Games rankings thanks to the achievements of a number of its athletes on Tuesday (26/9).
On the third day of the 2023 Asian Games, Indonesia added two gold medals and one bronze.
The two gold medals were achieved through shooting and wushu. Sejahtera Dwi Putra recorded another impressive performance by winning a gold medal in the mixed 10 meter target race.
After Prosperous, it was Harris Horatius’ turn to win the gold medal at the 2023 Asian Games in the men’s nanquan & nangun event.
Besides the two gold medals, Indonesia also won a bronze medal in the team shooting event, mixed 10m target race.
Based on the Indonesian NOC’s report on Tuesday (26/9) at 8:30 p.m. WIB, Indonesia had collected a total of nine medals: 3 gold, 1 silver, 5 bronze.
With this feat, Indonesia ranks seventh in the 2023 Asian Games rankings, behind India and ahead of Taiwan.
In sixth place, India collected 12 medals: 3 gold, 3 silver, 6 bronze. Meanwhile, Taiwan has a total of eight medals: 2 gold, 3 silver and 3 bronze.
Host China remained unshaken at the top of the 2023 Asian Games medal table with a total of 95 medals: 53 gold, 29 silver and 13 bronze.
South Korea, which occupies second place, is far behind China with 49 medals: 14 gold, 16 silver, 19 bronze. Japan is in third place with 47 medals: 8 gold, 20 silver and 19 bronze.
