Thousands of Ferrari fans gathered at the Jeddah circuit

JEDDAH: On Tuesday and Wednesday, thousands of enthusiasts flocked to the Jeddah Circuit to attend the annual Ferrari Festival featuring a variety of activities, entertainment and exhibitions.

The Ferrari Festival combines elements of sport and entertainment for fans of all ages. In addition to the on-track action, there is plenty of off-track entertainment, such as concerts, games and exhibitions of contemporary and classic Ferraris.

The festival celebrates the automotive spirit and offers fans the opportunity to experience some of the world’s most beautiful and rare sports cars, in a safe setting.

At the track, with more than 100 cars, Ferrari owners highlight the performance characteristics of their vehicles during on-track sessions, so fans can fully enjoy the experience and take photos.

Faris Fatani, 22, was seen posing with a Ferrari, accompanied by his brother and a friend.

“We came to the Jeddah circuit with our family and friends just for this Ferrari show,” he admitted Arabic News. “We love these cars, they look better parked next to each other. It’s something we won’t forget.”

Saeed al-Amoudi, a Ferrari fan, was accompanied by his family who were busy taking photos with their cell phones. “This is a great event and I appreciate the amazing cars. “It’s an incredible feeling to be here with Ferrari,” he enthused.

“This is an extraordinary opportunity to see Ferraris from different periods, from the first cars to the newest, in one place,” said Tariq al-Faratani, a Lebanese resident.

During the two-day festival, Ferrari fans can see many Formula 1 drivers, including the Ferrari F1 team’s star drivers Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz, appearing alongside members of the Ferrari WEC HypercarDriving Roster, including former F1 drivers Antonio Giovinazzi, Alessandro Pier Guidi, and James Calado.

Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki al-Faisal, Saudi Minister of Sports, and Prince Khaled bin Sultan al-Abdallah al-Faisal, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Motorcycle and Motorcycle Federation, and the Saudi Motor Sports Company, are among Ferrari fans. Both are interested in motor racing and have competed in the past, winning many races and championships with the Al-Faisal team.

“We are delighted to host the Ferrari Festival in Jeddah to celebrate this well-known and much-loved brand in the Kingdom and around the world. “We also start the countdown to the fourth consecutive Formula 1 race weekend in Jeddah,” Prince Khaled told the media.
