Plane passengers are excited because many mysterious animals appear

Bandung – Passengers on the Bangkok-Taipei flight were shocked as various animals suddenly rushed into the cabin of the plane. Upon further investigation, the animals came out of one of the passengers’ luggage, looking like a zoo.

Quote detikTravel According to information from the Bangkok Post, on Monday (09/10/2023), the passenger was carrying an otter, a mouse and 28 turtles in his bag.

The management of Suvarnabhumi Airport said on Thursday (10/05) that the baggage handler at Suvarnabhumi Airport had been suspended following the incident. CCTV footage shows that the AOT Aviation Security Co employee did not open the bag, even though the bag had been marked as suspicious by his colleague who was monitoring the X-ray inspection unit.

Two foreigners were also recorded carrying the bag in front of the X-ray unit at around 1:45 p.m. on Wednesday (4/10). They boarded a Thai VietJet Air flight which departed at 3:32 p.m. the same day.

Trouble on board the plane began shortly after takeoff when a passenger spotted a rat while heading to the toilet. Cabin crew then searched the plane and found an otter under the passenger seat.

Meanwhile, a steward manages to catch the rat. During the arrest, the flight attendant suffered a finger injury while putting the rat in a box in the galley.

The cabin crew made an announcement asking anyone carrying an animal on board to identify themselves. A woman admitted she was responsible and a subsequent search uncovered a black tote bag containing other animals under her seat.

Pakpong Pathong, head of wildlife inspections at the airport, reported that officials at Taipei Taoyuan International Airport found the bag containing 20 Burmese star tortoises, a snake, two otters, a prairie dog and two giant black squirrels. The bag was carried into the passenger cabin, but no passengers claimed it when the plane landed.

Quoted by Time of India, the Taoyuan branch of the Ministry of Defense Inspection confirmed that the turtle will be placed in quarantine, while the other animals will be sent to Pingtung University of Science and Technology for identification and more thorough elimination.

The suspect, believed to be the passenger who smuggled the animal onto the plane, is currently being questioned and could face a fine of up to 1 million TWD (Taiwan dollars) or the equivalent of IDR 486 million in accordance with the provisions relating to the prevention and control of animal infectious diseases.
