Besides Jakarta, Singapore encourages tourists from major Indonesian cities

Liputan6.com, Singapore – Singapore targets growth in Indonesian tourist numbers. In 2023, Indonesian tourists are expected to reach 2 million people.

One way to achieve this tourism growth is to increase the number of tourists from major cities other than Jakarta, including Medan, Makassar, Surabaya and others.

Indonesia Regional Director, Singapore Tourism Board, Jakarta, Hafez Marican, said: “Singapore has become popular among Jakarta residents. His party promotes Singapore to regions in Indonesia including Medan, Makassar, Surabaya and others.

“Singapore is a popular tourist destination for Jakarta residents. Jakarta residents already know Singapore very well. We want to attract tourists from Medan, Makassar, Surabaya. “We want to offer a different experience to international tourists, especially Indonesians,” said Hafez, when met by reporters, Thursday, October 5, 2023, quoted Sunday (10/8/2023).

The Singapore Tourism Board (STB) presented Made in Singapore, the latest global campaign to encourage tourists to choose Singapore as their next travel destination. This campaign features quintessentially Singaporean experiences, from iconic attractions to hidden gems and how Singapore transforms ordinary moments into extraordinary ones.

Hafez said his party offers a different experience to international tourists, especially Indonesians. Until now, Singapore was only known for its shopping and tourist attractions such as Universal Studios. However, Singapore wants to offer a different experience to foreign tourists.

“There are so many activities in Singapore. So we created something and a different experience. For example, Bird Paradise. We offer different things. There are Singapore Sidecars that show a different side of Singapore. “Made in Singapore, different expectations and experiences,” he said.
