MotoGP has apologized for the error in providing information on the India map during the first practice session on the opening day of the 2023 Indian MotoGP.
Noida, runganSport – Organizers MotoGP officially issued a statement of apology to all colors of India.
This follows errors or misinformation regarding the map of India during the live broadcast on the first day, Friday (22/9) this week.
On the first day there will be a free practice session for all MotoGP classes.
Controversy then erupted when distorted maps of the Indian states of Jammu and Kashmir and missing Ladakh were broadcast live during the event’s opening practice session on Friday.
Hours after the issue was reported by several social media users, MotoGP subsequently released a statement apologizing for the error.

“We would like to apologize to our fans in India for the card shown earlier in the MotoGP broadcast section.
It was never our intention to make any statement other than our support and appreciation for our host country.
We are very happy to enjoy the IndianOil Indian Grand Prix with you and we are with you and we love our first Buddh International Circuit,” Thus read the official MotoGP statement later Twitter.

President FMSCI (Federation of Motor Sports Clubs of India), Akbar Ebrahim was sitting in the BIC race control room when the embarrassing error was brought to his attention.
“It is unfortunate that a poor map of India was shown today by MotoGP TV during the broadcast of the Indian Grand Prix.
We know that MotoGP has issued a public apology.
FMSCI advises its motorsport affiliates to exercise utmost caution and accuracy in this regard, with regard to the depiction of the Map of India and the Tricolor of India. say Ebrahim in the news published in The New Indian Express.
This year is the first season for India to host an international motorsport event.
Previously, the Buddh circuit organized F1 races for three seasons, from 2011 to 2013.
