Now ICF is experimenting with a new color theme and only one rake of the orange-grey Vande Bharat will be made at first.
While the exterior of the Vande Bharat Express features a new color scheme, no changes have been made on the inside. The new series of Vande Bharat Express trains already have 25 new upgrades, which are also included in the orange-grey train.
The 8-car AC chair car train has improved safety features and optimized passenger amenities according to passenger feedback.
These include; Increasing the angle of inclination of the seats, optimizing the hardness of the upholstery, lengthening the footrest for seats in the executive chair car and seats in a pleasant blue color, increasing the depth of the washbasin to avoid splashing water in the toilets, improving the accessibility of the mobile charging station under the seat, etc. You can read the full list of the 25 improvements here.
Indian Railways currently operates 50 Vande Bharat Express train services (both branch services included) on 25 routes. ICF is also in the process of completing the interior design of a sleeper variant of the Vande Bharat Express. The new train, which will be superior to the Rajdhani Express trains, is expected to be ready this fiscal year.
