Safety: Bird Strike: AirAsia India flight Delhi-Surat returns safely to Delhi after ‘cracked windshield’

NEW DELHI: AirAsia India‘S Flight Delhi-Surat Due to a reported accident, he returned safely at IGI Airport on Friday evening Crack in the windshield after bird strike at the start. The plane was grounded for checks and the airline made arrangements to transport passengers to their destination by arranging another plane. A spokesman for AirAsia India, now known as AIX Connect, said the plane was hit by a bird.

“The AIX Connect aircraft VT-NAG, operating from Delhi to Surat, landed back in Delhi after suffering a cracked windshield from a bird strike. The aircraft is currently grounded while we make arrangements to accommodate our guests on alternative flights. We regret the inconvenience caused to guests,” said an AIX Connect spokesperson.

After a windshield crack, the pilots dismount to relieve windshield pressure and land safely at the nearest suitable airport. Since in this case the plane had taken off from Delhi and the reported rupture occurred shortly thereafter, they decided to return to Delhi.
