Menpora Dito is glad that holding the Asian Level Women’s Volleyball Championship can have a very good impact on the experience and development of female volleyball athletes in Indonesia.
“We should be satisfied with holding this championship. Besides channeling hobbies and friendships, this championship should nurture the talents of future quality volleyball champions,” Menpora Dito said.
“The existence of this championship is indirectly a joint effort to develop volleyball interests and talents in Indonesia,” he added.
In her remarks, Menpora Dito also thanked the Central Board of Indonesian Volleyball Association (PP PBVSI) for organizing the AVC Challenge Cup For Women 2023 event with the aim of improving the achievements of Indonesian women’s volleyball.
“Kemenpora, who represents the government agencies in charge of sports development at the national level, really appreciates this event. I hope this volleyball championship can continue and be sustainable,” said Menpora Dito.
During the event, the President of the Asian Volleyball Confederation, Rita Subowo, thanked Menpora Dito who was present to open this event. “The 2023 AVC Challenge Cup For Women event can enhance the achievements of Indonesian women’s volleyball. To all the participants and especially Menpora, thank you,” Rita said.
Meanwhile, PBVSI President Imam Sudjarwo hopes the event can boost the achievements of the Indonesian women’s volleyball team. “Through this event, the Indonesian women’s volleyball team can improve their performance on the Asian and global stage. My goal is that in this event, they can win,” Imam said.
Besides Indonesia, Macau and the Philippines, the other participating countries in the AVC Challenge Cup 2023 are Hong Kong, Taiwan, Iran, India, Australia, Uzbekistan, Mongolia and Vietnam. ***
