Carrier Battle Group (CBG) or Carrier Battle Group is a large naval fleet consisting of aircraft carriers, accompanied by a large number of destroyers, frigates and other ships.

“The Indian Navy has conducted twin carrier CBG operations with over 35 aircraft in the Arabian Sea, demonstrating its exceptional capability to ensure continuous air operations in the vast expanse of maritime affairs and underscoring our commitment to protecting the national interests of India,” the spokesperson said. He added that the exercise involved the seamless integration of two aircraft carriers as well as a diverse fleet of warships, submarines and aircraft, showcasing India’s technological expertise in the maritime domain.

“This display of naval prowess underscores India’s commitment to safeguarding its national interests, maintaining regional stability and fostering cooperative maritime partnerships,” Madhwal said.
